I have a well I don't want to say Maine Coon but his personality and appearance pretty much say that. He's black and white and someone told me that he's not pure cause Maine Coons can't be black and white is this even true?

My coon Sir George has been with my groomer now for 2years...so I think you need to go in for a consult.....I am a hairstyles so that might work like kids they do better when someone else is cutting your hair...

My Maine coon is so matted as well I live in San Diego ...it's going to get hit from now to September...I take him to my groomer Jennifer she us awesome....he us 20lbs and will jot let me cut them off nor groom him...so he sports that lion cut because he s orange and white...sometimes you have to shave and start over for their comfort

@  candes : (30 March 2017 - 11:34 AM)

You may want to work carefully to remove them yourself. A shave job by groomer or vet could get them seriously cut.

my guy is matted on belly and anal area. Is a lion cut necessary

My cat Glow has Stomatitis and the vet wanted to remove all her teeth (which usually doesn't always work) and I said NO! We have been treating holistically and the last time she went in for a cleaning (we do a dental twice a year + the laser treatment) he was stunned her gums looked so much better!

@  candes : (08 December 2016 - 09:09 PM)

Can someone share a YouTube video in our video center? I need to test our RSS feeds.

@  candes : (07 December 2016 - 08:23 PM)

You must take them to a dentist, no question.

@  candes : (07 December 2016 - 08:22 PM)

The gum issue could be related to the bowel disorder and kitty may be misdiagnosed.

@  candes : (07 December 2016 - 08:21 PM)

Never heard of that. Although mc's are prone to gingivitis, resorptive gum disease and stomatitis. You need to take your cat to a dentistry specialist.

Hello, vet told me that my main coon has overgrowth of gingiva and he will have to get all his teeth removed. I understand now that I bought him from a bad breeder because he was also diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease a few months ago. I will obtain a 2nd opinion however was wondering if anyone has advice on this?
