Our dear departed Scoobie reminded me that I wanted to post this website for the benefit of others. This site lists 15 Veterinary care assistance programs for both cats and dogs! Which are meant to help you when your finances limit your abilities to provide health care for your beloved pet. I see organizations from both the US and UK listed there. Maureen shared this link with us previously and what a godsend it is!

OMG Candes, that list is amazing!!! Oh I have tears. You just made me feel so much better. I'm feeling so bad right now because Sugar is just begging me for food and I can't give it to him but just knowing that if it should get rough, which it's not going to (!,) there are all those places that offer help make me feel so relieved and just so much more relaxed right now. That has always been my greatest fears with taking in my rescues is that what if someday something happens and it comes down to an issue of stupid money. Thanks Candes, I'm so grateful you posted this and then also brought it to my attention tonight. :angel1:

What a wonderfull list, we have some here as well. I am so glad my babies have health insurance. With Baileys I am around € 1000,00 just from 1 visit + surgery. Our government raised taxes to 22% on vet bills, they are in need of money as well.

Unfortunately the Animal Compassion Network has turned into a local rescue for Ashville, NC. So we'll have to be on the look out for other organizations that assist with vet bills.

This one has many nice links to organizations willing to help, particularly for life or death care, but for non-urgent care also.
