*****Due to the size of the original thread, I have started a new one. Anyone who posts a weight here will eventually have their Maine Coon cats included in our weight charts.*****

The aim of my project? This will be a continuing worldwide project to accumilate Maine Coon weight data. And to finally establish an accurate weight chart for the Maine Coon cat breed. With all results adhering to the established coefficient of variation. I would like to thank everyone in advance for participation in this project.

Take a look up at the top of the page near the Gallery and Videos etc.. MC Weight Chart (Although one of our site graphic themes we offer will display this on the left.) This will be an up to date, real time chart of all Maine Coon weights collected at this site!


Please note that all Maine Coons must be purebreed due to the nature of this study. And all data must be as accurate as possible.


If you would like to contribute to this project, please submit the following information:

• Cats name
• If under a year old, age in weeks
• If over a year old, age in months
• Sex
• Weight (In pounds, kilograms or both depending on how generous you feel. I would prefer all units of measure be taken out to the hundredths place. ex 10.15 pounds and/or 4.60 kilograms. You can visit this link for easy conversions. Metric Conversions

Please be careful to:
-not use commas.
-include the sex
-calculate the age properly

Mind boggling... I added over 300 lines of data including doing weight conversions, removing commas, looking up the sex of some, etc... And my work has only just begun,

But you all have contributed immensely since if you didn't provide the data there would be none!

Hi Candes. Oshie is 22 months old, 1yr 10months. He weighs 17lbs. Boon is 29 months old,2yrs 5 months and weighs a measly 12.2 lb. Kofi is 18wks old and weighs 5.6lbs. These are the vets weights. Can you add them to the weight chart for me please. Thanks Cathy b. x
