This is Melody dying of hunger because you will notice one bowl, for soft food, missing from the tray.  Dry food is always out but wet goes out 3 or 4 times a day so that she can eat some and walk away.  Then it gets thrown away!!  Apparently, I did not refill and return the bowl quick enough and she is begging for some one to get me to feed her!!

Dixie does this. She wants to have both wet and dry food available. If one of her bowls is empty, she will sit in front of it until someone fills it. When Wile E has an empty bowl he just kicks it around to make noise until somebody feeds him.

They sure are. Our two wake us up in the morning to be fed. I swear they can tell time because they usually get us up at 6:00am. This has been the routine since we got Dixie 10 years ago. We stopped using alarm clocks because she never failed to wake us up before the alarm went off.

It's a good morning when she lets me make it to 5:30 :hysterical:  We are both retired now so she and I are up trying to be quiet while my husband sleeps passed 7!  So jealous.

To be honest... my wife does the same thing for me. They go after her in the morning and me at night. I have to feed them the last thing before going to bed.

Think I mentioned here that my husband got Teddy so addicted to treats that I swapped them out with Fancy Feast kibble.

Teddy will walk up to the “treat jar” (kibble filled), place his paw on it, and meow.

Teddy does not wait for anything he wants. He tells you!

Yesterday he wanted catnip. He rolled the container on the floor to my feet.

There will never be another cat with Teddies sweet and innocent catitude. It’s unique.

I work 12 hr shifts Fri, Sat, Sun and I'm up by 5:30 am.
Merlin gives me until about 5:45 on other days then walks up on my chest and starts kneading.
I pull up the quilt. He licks my neck.
I pull the covers tighter. He goes for my face . He'll kick and eventually nip my nose.
